"10 countries for a United States of Europe" "10 countries for a United States of Europe"-- so read a headline last week in Presseurope. "Ten EU foreign ministers participating in a 'study group for the future of Europe' aim to exert pressure to transform the EU into a federation along the lines of the US. Together they have prepared what the front-page headline in Die Presse describes as a 'Plan for transformation into a European state'" (Presseurope, June 20, 2012). This plan is to be presented at the EU summit at the end of June.
Source: CIA World Factbook The "study group," formed by German foreign minister Guido Westerwelle, "proposes to put an end to the dominance of national government leaders and give greater authority to the European Commission--in particular the European Commission president, who will be elected by universal suffrage and granted the right to form a 'governmental team', making him or her the most powerful politician in Europe" (ibid) (emphasis ours). "National competencies, most notably the management of borders, defence and public spending will be transferred to the federation, 'making membership of the euro irreversible'" (ibid).
What will Europe look like as it undergoes its metamorphosis and the "experiment" takes on a new shape? Writing almost 2,000 years ago, the Apostle John was given a vision of an end-time European Beast power. This power will consist of ten kings or kingdoms (possibly nations) that "have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast." They will be of "one mind," and "will give their power and authority to the beast" (Revelation 17:7-13). These ten are the same as the ten toes spoken of by the prophet Daniel (Daniel 2:33, 41-43).
It is not surprising that these ancient prophecies are coming alive today before our eyes. When Daniel explained the dream that God gave to Nebuchadnezzar, he said "The dream is certain, and its interpretation is sure" (v. 45)!

In the recent Egyptian election, Muslim Brotherhood candidate Mohammed Mursi emerged the victor (Agence France-Presse, June 25, 2012). During the vote count, Egypt's Supreme Council of Armed Forces issued a declaration claiming for itself legislative power and control of the budget and the drafting of a new constitution in a move that some have characterized as a "complete coup" (BBC June 18, 2012; Telegraph, June 14, 2012).
However, the Muslim Brotherhood is now the largest party in the Egyptian parliament and apparently growing in influence (The Week , May 4, 2012). Several weeks ago, at a presidential rally, a popular Muslim cleric commented about what would happen if Mohammed Mursi were elected president: "Our capital shall not be Cairo, Mecca or Medina. It shall be Jerusalem with God's will. Our chants shall be: 'millions of martyrs will march towards Jerusalem'... The United States of the Arabs will be restored on the hands of that man [Mursi] and his supporters. The capital of the [Muslim] Caliphate will be Jerusalem with God's will... Yes, we will either pray in Jerusalem or we will be martyred there'" (emphasis ours). A video of this event aired on Egypt's religious Annas TV and went "viral" when it hit YouTube (Al Arabiya News , June 7, 2012). Mursi has since suggested that the longstanding peace agreement with Egypt and Israel be reconsidered in order to "build ties with Iran to 'create a strategic balance' in the Middle East" (Agence France-Presse , June 25, 2012).
These sobering comments may seem far-fetched, but they fit well with end-time Bible prophecy. The prophet Daniel foretold of a coming King of the South (apparently a combination of Arab states) that will attack a coming European Beast power (King of the North) which will ultimately overrun the King of the South. Egypt figures prominently in this prophecy and could be a catalyst that helps bring together this King of the South (Daniel 11:40-43).

King James Version Change Bible versionsGood is a very versatile word with many uses in everyday English. It is used as a noun, adjective, and adverb and is the root of the word "goodness." The common idea in almost all of its uses is that it suggests a desirable quality, something commendable, reliable, welcome, enjoyable, beneficent, kind, noble, admirable, propitious, exemplary, and very much welcome. In the word "goodness," the inner qualities of virtue, excellence of character, morality, and attitude that we see in a person's behavior come to the fore.
The Hebrew and Greek uses are similar, but the Hebrew, like the English, has a broader application. The Greek word, agathosune, at first glance seems very similar to chrestotes ("kindness"). However, closer examination of its use in the Scriptures reveals a word indicating zealous activity in doing good. Kindness or gentleness (chrestotes) is more passive.
William Barclay's Daily Study Bible commentary on Galatians says of these two words:
It [agathosune] is the widest word for goodness; it is defined as "virtue equipped at every point." What is the difference? Agathosune might, and could, rebuke and discipline; chrestotes can only help. Trench says that Jesus showed agathosune when He cleansed the Temple and drove out those who were making it a bazaar; but He showed chrestotes when He was kind to the sinning woman who anointed His feet. The Christian needs that goodness which at the same time can be kind and strong. (p. 51)
Agathosune is therefore active—even aggressive—goodness. The English word "goodness" includes many pleasing qualities whereas the Greek word indicates one particular quality. It is more than an excellence of character; it is character energized, expressing itself in active good. Agathosune is goodness, but it does not spare sharpness and rebuke to produce good in others. Thus God can correct, sometimes very severely, and it is goodness in action. Thus parents can correct their child, and it is good because it helps produce a responsible adult.

(6) And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.
King James Version Change Bible versionsAfter describing the black horse and its rider, John hears "a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, 'A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine'" (Revelation 6:6). Among the Four Horseman, this is an unusual departure; nothing else is said to or about them save in this verse. Being so set apart, the words are doubly significant.
Who speaks these words? John simply says "a voice." Literally, the Greek is "like a voice," which can be stated as "what seemed to be a voice." The only clue we have is that it comes from "in the midst of the four living creatures." Revelation 4:6 provides the answer: "And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures. . . ." (see Ezekiel 1:4-28). The language suggests that the creatures were situated around the throne, one creature in the middle of each of the four sides. The voice coming from the midst of these creatures must have come from the one sitting on the throne! God Himself utters these words!
What He says is a common marketplace call of a merchant shouting out the price of his wares. He is setting relative values for both wheat and barley, with wheat being three times as valuable as barley. However, His price is highly inflated! The "quart" here is choinix in Greek, which is roughly equivalent to our quart, the amount of grain that a normal man needs each day to survive. In ancient times, though, a denarius would buy eight to ten quarts of wheat, not one! Obviously, these are disaster prices.
The "denarius" was equal to an ordinary worker's daily wage, as Jesus illustrates in His Parable of the Laborers (Matthew 20:1-16). These prices, then, give a person an unenviable choice. If he is single, he can buy the more expensive, more nutritious wheat, yet have nothing left over, or he can buy the cheaper, less nutritious barley and save the remainder for the next day or so. However, if he is married and has children, he can choose only the barley because he needs more than one quart of grain for his family's subsistence. None of these choices really allows the person either to get ahead or to stay healthy, especially if he has dependents.
God also commands, "Do not harm the oil and the wine," which is a puzzler to scholars. To whom is God speaking—to the horseman or to people in general? It seems to be directed at the horseman, as he is the direct cause of the scarcity. Thus, the staff of life will be in such short supply as to need to be rationed or sold at extortionate prices, but oil and wine will be relatively untouched. Why?
Many commentators consider oil and wine to be luxury items, but this is false. In ancient times, olive oil and wine were staples of the Mediterranean diet along with grain, as Deuteronomy 7:13 and 11:14 indicate (see also II Chronicles 31:5; 32:28; Nehemiah 5:11; Hosea 2:8, 22; Joel 1:10; Haggai 1:11). A person, though, cannot live on oil and wine as he can on grain, yet, as science is just now discovering, they do provide additional and necessary nutrition. These items are available during the third horseman's rampage, but the average man will not have the means to purchase them, since all his money is being spent on flour for bread!
What is God picturing then? The key is to remember that this "famine" is ongoing just as the wars and rumors of wars of the second horseman and the deceptions of the first horseman are. There are occasional lulls of plenty, but the experience of history is that most of the time, the ordinary individual is just getting by. Just as God predicted in Genesis 3:17-19, he labors and toils to eke out a miserable living only to die, worn out and broken in a few, short years. The third horseman's job is to follow his red brother's devastating wars with oppression, corruption, and scarcity so that men stay weak and poor and many die.

IS ANYBODY LISTENING?
I must admit I'm curious, how many are concerned about what is happening in America and abroad? I am asking everyone who reads this to email me back and give me your point of view. Let me know what your concerns are and what is your gameplan? I have been reading and reading and reading trying to get newsworthy information out to everyone and am curious if anyone is truly seeing the collapse of our constitutionals rights as Obama and the other worthless" leaders" of our country give way to NATO and international law trumping our own. Are you willing to risk it all to help ensure fredom for your children and grandchildren? Where do you stand and what do you believe to be the most important issues facing our country today?
