Bring Migrant Voices to DC
Help the ones willing to stand for what is right! Considering the research I have done regarding this issue, I can't imagine how any U.S. citizen could see the abuses, the lack of assistance, the persecution dealt out by our "Border Patrol" and turn a blind eye. At one time, many, many, many years ago we would be outraged by such. People would be fired or at least written up and given stern warnings to change or else, but today, no one seems to care. No one gives a rat's a@!?
I've heard remarks such as "well they shouldn't have got caught" or "well they are illegals" or better yet "I guess they got what they deserved". What? Put the shoe upon your foot now. It's your wife, your daughter, son, husband, you've all been seperated (sounds like Nazi Germany), they shredded your documents, taken what few belongings you have, you don't know where they sent your ten yr old daughter. Your husband has been beaten, it's damp, hot and no food has been offered. Would that change your outlook? Because if "they've done it unto the least of these..."
KBR, ICE, DOD, DHS all stand to make big money off the fringes of society, the poor, impoverished, the weak; afterall, who'd notice if they disappeared? As American's, we think we are above such. Wouldn't stand for one of ours to be treated like this, right? Well, that is if you're news worthy, upper middle to elite class of course and "important". Short of that, well I doubt you could get any help. Across from your cell, lies an elderly woman, crooked and bent over from all the years of hard labor. She's crying from pain, fear and thirst, but no one answers short of snide hatefilled remarks; "ah, granny, wish you'd stayed home?" "Guess you'll think twice next won't ya, granny?" Two small children cling to her with fear. The little boy looks around 4 yrs old and the little girl around 6 yrs of age, pats his back holding on for dear life while trying to comfort them both. Their lips cracked and dry. Their tummies distended from malnutrition, but no one cares. "Who are they?" you ask. "Why should I care. They are the ones breaking laws?" So, in faith they attempted to reach a land for opportunity, leaving behind everything they bravely set out to find their "utopia". Earthly law, doesn't hold water in cases such as this. Aren't we all searching "for our little piece of heaven?" What LAW have they broken? Mans' law? The ones who own most everything, including the police? The ones who stole land only to sell it and make billions off others, the "weaker".
All creation, regardless of borders, should be available to all! Who gave man authority to lord over others? MAN DID. Consider the old cast system, are we not there once more? Of course, we all know

Dear Stacey, It isn’t the first time we’ve pressed government officials to stop violence against migrants on both sides of the border and it won’t be the last. But this coming March, it WILL be the first time we join with partners to air grievances against the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on the international stage, face-to-face, publicly, at an event you’ll likely be able to stream online. It will be an exchange worth tuning in to. And certainly one worth supporting. Will you help us raise the $2000 we need to bring border advocates to DC to tell U.S. officials to stop abusing migrants? Last year a shocking, well-documented exposé by No More Deaths revealed that thousands of migrants along our southern border are abused by Border Patrol agents each year. The type of abuse varies from denial of food, water and medical attention while they wait in detention centers, to physical and physiological mistreatment, including mistreatment that is considered torture under international law. Despite mounting evidence, DHS officials largely write off such reports as rare incidents committed by a few “bad apples.” When questioned by Congress about dozens of complaints filed, and a report based on 13,000 interviews, documenting 30,000 cases of mistreatment and abuse, DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano responded: “I would dispute any NGO report that uses those kind of numbers. From time-to-time there are incidents and we deal with them very firmly and swiftly.” We beg to differ. And that’s why we need your help to make sure the voices of those fighting for migrants’ rights are heard inside the beltway. Can you chip in $5 today to help make this happen? Until we get mad and demand things change, "WE THE PEOPLE" have no voice. We are invisible to the system that once was supposed to protect us. Have we grown so accustom to being told what to do that we don't know when to protest? Have our minds been so brainwashed that we don't know abuse when we see it or become too frightened to stand up and be heard? Have our eyes become too clouded to understand when evil shows its face?
Something has gone terribly wrong with the experiment known as America. Only a country crawling with demons could be so horrid! What happened to helping those who can't help themselves. What happened to "...bring me your tired, helpless, and poor..." What happened to "...love thy neighbor...,.....feed the hungry..., and ...do not kill..." ? What happened to "...prod to be an American..."or the country I grew up with? Seems we've "...thrown the baby out with the water..."
Only a system so corrupt would allow such a thing as our future to be beaten, abused and destroyed. Only a system so evil could fail to see. Only a system As one I am weak, easily beatin and small. As two, I am supported and understood. As many, I am bold, strong, unbeatable! With God I am angry, fed up and protected, but most of all "...able to all things..."!
"Vengence is mine sayest the Lord..." and I conquer, it's way past due! Watching the occupy movement, the results of war, and greed churns my stomach. Makes me ill to think this is the country in which I reside. Wasn't discrimination, religious hatred and greed enough? Have we become a society so accustom to recklace abandonment and consumerism that we don't recognize the value, the treasure, the gift placed under our care? Is it so easy to forget the future, to forget our legacy? Does life matter to anyone anymore or do we hate ourselves so much we chose to lose the reflection which reminds us of our past as well as leads us into the future? If so...perhaps it's time to blow out the candles, turn out the lights and return home. Maybe it's to fold, whichever the choice know that one day "...we will all stand before THE LIVING GOD and give an account..."
Fear does nothing but breed defeat and rob precious moments. Fear weakens. I know no fear short of judgement. Although I may shrink afraid I will stand tall knowing EL is in control. I AM surrounds me and I am bold. Regardless how this ends I know it was only the beginning and while I lived blessed, guarded, and happy, someone else knew nothing but poverty, violence and lack. The two must exist together before mirracles can begin. Natural law demands yen and yang co-habitate for now, but one day, we, will all know love. The question is, who gets to embrace it?

IRS SUED OVER NEW RULES "QUALIFYING" AS A CPA TO "SUBMIT" AND GET PAID FOR SERVICE.
Sorry, haven't ranted in a while so..., sorry! Looking at this article makes me wonder what we as a people "must" do any more to be considered "qualified" to do our jobs? Each yr it seems someone, somewhere wants more, more, more! What happened to the days where your qualifications came not from a test, not from another "extortionary" fee giving you a "permit" or paying for a lic., allowing the state to hold the complete key to your ability to make a living, but from on the job compentancy?
I suppose I'm old fashioned! Maybe, a little eccentric, but come one? How many more fees, how many more "college hrs" must one "pay to continue to be qualified, efficient, or hell for that matter good" at what we do? I'm a nurse by trade and have known many many LVN'S FAR BETTER AND FAR MORE QUALIFIED THAN THOSE WITH BSN OR MSN'S. I've also worked beside many BSN'S AND MSN's, who for only a few dollers more a pay period, are far too qualified for what their salaries offer. Today it's hard to find any profession which offers an opportunity for employment for lesss than a bachelor's if not a master's.
Now, while college tuition increases, taxes increase, salaries decrease, our public education fails, and the millitary or law enforcement are our largest employers; WE THE PEOPLE'S STUDENT LOAN DEBT SKY ROCKETS (many times adding up what equals to a close second to a home loan payment each month) burdening families making life harder to bear! Our society is more focused on continuing our "formal" education, forcing young adults with growing families to be torn between work, study, and children, during a time our focus should be upon just that, our children's education. Our childrens lives!
Yes, we need education! Ask my children! I did just the same. I worked, raised kids, went to school, played soccer mom...and at one point home school my own too! I pushed education and still do, but, must it only be measured by acedemia alone? What happened to self taught or apprenticeships? What happened to being parents? While we ask the many questions like, Why gangs, inner city violence? What will the state do to fix it? We should be asking, how many trained monkey's could do my job or what about getting a voice and demand, this stop! Demand the right to resasonable educational requirements! Demand the right to perform at a job, get pd for your skill and ability vs how many plaques hang on the wall! Demand the right, no take back, the privilege to be a parent during the time our kids need us most!
UNTIL WE STAND FOR "WE THE PEOPLE AGAIN" HERE AND STOP THE BS, IT WILL ONLY WORSEN! And, while somebody else raises your child, you dig deeper into debt, the state controls your life, dictates your responabilities, politicians and colleges alike profit. That's the bottom line! Like it or not.
