Peaceful millitary recruitment demonstration shut down illegally by police

I have nothing against law inforcement.  I have the utmost respect for those who try to uphold the law and protect citizens.  But, people who are demonstrating, practicing their rights peacefuly under the law are striving to have a voice and exercizing the same rights officers have.  I find it disturbing to say the least that hard working middle class officers are helping destroy the constitutional freedoms we should all hold dear and work hard to protect.  If this is how we are treated during peaceful times how much worse will it be if things turn bad and people begin to become angry or the masses decide enough is enough.  This, I believe is a firm possibility considering the strain so many families now endure.  Unemployment, increased workloads, inflation, heat and the growing fears associated with our unstable future has pushed many to feel the strain.  I just pray I'm wrong, but if you are law enforcemen or millitary I beg of you please stop and think of your rights, your families welfare, and all our freedoms we should hold dear before resorting to such tactics against your fellow man.  I don't believe anyone denies you the right to use force when justified, but for all of our sake, please please please make sure it necessary first.
