Whether rt or wrong in arizona and disregarding what side ur on, the rt to bear arms for protection is upheld to ALL citizens unless convicted of a FELONY or MENTAL INSTABILITY. Currently under states of emergency this is being challenged, but for now it is still legal to carry a weapon under such. Like it or not, without this being upheld and respected by all, we all serve lose the ability to protect those we love. I come from a family of law enforcement, but I've also had a deputy pull a gun on me as a teen, during what should have been a routine traffic stop.I was being followed and harrassed by this individual and feel he did it to instill fear as a form of control; so, I apologize if this offends, but I feel one should b just as cautious about ANY AND ALL who carry a weapon. Also, having been personally affected by violent crime, i am not willing to lose this privilage without a fight ! I believe we r seeing more and more taken from the American people in situations simular to the very one playing now in Arizona and want us all to realize what is happening in front of our very eyes and what is at stake. No, not everone who possesses a gun should, but short of the current reasonable restrictions, how do u decide without giving up the ability to protect ur own? Remember, the gentleman who surrendered the weapons was given no chance to defend himself n a court, stated he had not been to a meeting in months, but had no way of providing proof because the injunction was given without him being present with a lawyer to refute and had never been arrested, involved in a violent crime or convicted of a felony or other wise.
